About The Author

A Word From The Author

I am from a very small town in West Texas, Snyder, Texas. I was born and raised in Snyder. I attended Abilene Christian University and completed my degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught kindergarten and second grade for multiple years. Currently, my husband, Ted and I have three children who are seven, five and almost two. I lost both of my parents to different types of cancer in a span of five years by the time I was 27 years old. My dad passed away my Junior year of college and my mother passed away only two months before I had our first daughter. I have experienced loss at an early age but have learned so much about God’s provisions of love, grace, and faith in a way deeper than I had ever imagined possible. I seek to find joy in the midst of deep sorrow and pain in my own journey of faith as my husband and I guide our three children in a chaotic life that is ever so busy. I am often reminded of all the blessings and ways God has provided for my family and me through relationships of family, friends and my village of people who help us daily. The path of finding joy in the journey of twists, turns and roadblocks has been hard but is worth it. I hope to encourage others who have experienced loss in some way or even hard circumstances that God is good and His ways are even greater than we can comprehend at seasons in our life. I seek to live a Proverbs 31 kind of life and know that I am “clothed in strength and dignity and laugh with no fear of the future” because God has got this. He has you too!
